I am interested in buying a cheaper iPad for this purpose so i can take advantage of the full features Navionics has to offer. - Mobile check on the Navionics Boating page. I was originally thinking this iPhone/navionics setup and a paper chart (if everything goes to crap) would cut-it as backup navigation tools, but it seems the info available on the iPhone app is limited (?). I have a garmin fishfinder, chartplotter, and depth finder.
